Hi, I’m Sheri
I’m a performing arts educator and a lifelong learner. I find joy in sharing the love of theatre with students and encourageing them to fulfill their performance dreams.
I am fortunate to have been involved in the magic of theatre since childhood and believe in the positive power that early exposure to the performing arts can have on a student’s individual development. Early arts exposure expands the imagination and enriches education. The lessons and skills learned through the performing arts will serve students throughout their lifetime, no matter what profession they choose.
I am honored to have taught, directed, and mentored hundreds of students and been a part of their journey, and watching them grow into amazing individuals and performing artists. Former students are working professionals in the industry, and many have been on Broadway, TV, and Film. Many others are fabulous educators, artistic directors, business leaders, financial, legal, and medical professionals, and some are now parents themselves.
I have a BA from the University of South Florida in Theatre Performance and continued my education with focused study in Voice, Film & Television, serving as an On-Set Tutor and Dialect Coach for film productions. In addition, I have worked in Arts Education and Administration for many organizations including the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, and the Patel Conservatory.
I am proud to be working now with Powerstories Theatre, where I have appeared on stage and work behind the scenes. I also have been privileged to teach with their award-winning Girlstories Leadership program.
